Sending “Touch”

I really did cut the art into pieces.

Here's the paint drying on cards that reassemble to create "Touch", ready to send to friends who've lost loved ones to COVID-19. The pearlescent fingerprint in the middle is because even in the hundreds of thousands of losses (all the other fingerprints), their person is central to them. They mattered - and still do.

This is my way of honoring these losses - especially the absence of the touch of loved ones in the final moments of life.

These are made from an art print of the original, which is away at a show in Boston. If it was still home, it might have gotten cut up to share instead. (It may still, when it returns.)
