"Weary Wondering"

Laying my sad self down

for yet another nap

musing absentmindedly 

at the immense weight of grief 

held in my body

surely heavy enough to push me 

right through the bed 

to land on the floor below

leaving a me-shaped hole in the mattress

cookie cuttered in my exact pose.

Wishing you a chuckle in the midst of tears.
